Thunderbird Field
EAA Chapter 1217
Scottsdale, Arizona
Thunderbird Field, EAA Chapter 1217, is an EAA-affiliated chapter located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The chapter has a long, rich history and has been in existence since 1998.
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) was founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Since then, the EAA has expanded its mission of growing participation in aviation to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters, and contemporary manufactured aircraft.
EAA’s local chapters are about people, bringing together individuals interested in learning more about aviation as well as sharing their own knowledge. EAA Chapter 1217 warmly welcomes all aviation enthusiasts to attend a meeting and learn more!
